Development - Akira Amaka

Aki has really come a long way, and so has my art, I believe. Three years ago, he was just a lovable little teenage Inuit werewolf with a spiky mop and the personality of a dog. Now, he's a rogue from the Northern tribes of Promise billions of years in the future, a student at the Academy, and Alba DeNoctua's first friend. He's also a Passiomancer, bearing the bronze Heart of Courage, the second member of the Guild of Passion, and has been bestowed with the Ikon Amarok, who gives him power over wind or ice (I haven't decided yet). At least, this is his plot for The Reckoning, one of the Tyto Alba plots. Tyto Alba is like The Legend of Zelda, in the sense that the characters stay the same but the plot changes with each story, and the stories aren't relevant to each other. The Reckoning is a full-blown epic about the end of the universe, and I would love to make it into a graphic novel if I ever found the time.

And if you're wondering why he looks so desert-ish even though he comes from the North, it's because each member of the Guild is kidnapped and imprisoned in each of the realms of Promise corrupted by Alaric and the viruses. The realm each member is put into is the polar opposite of what they are used to, and Akira is imprisoned in the Sands of Fire, a scorching hot desert environment that has been burnt to a crisp. When he is rescued, he receives his Heart of Passion and his Ikon, as well as armor that protects him against the element he has been imprisoned in, hence the fiery desert-style clothing.

The new drawing was originally done for a creative writing term project. My project's going to revolve around my characters and my development of The Reckoning.
